Believe or not, our crisp recipe ideas are almost endless as they are impressive. 

Not only can our delicious hand-cooked crisps be enjoyed as a light snack, but they can also be added to your home cooking to make for some truly mouth watering meals! 

With so many recipes out there, it was no easy feat to cut the list down to just 5 meal ideas that use crisps. Featuring exciting twists on classic dishes as well as some more unique suggestions, you will fall in love with each one of our picks, just as we have!

Word of warning – once you try these, dinner will never be the same!

1. Tuna Pasta Bake Topped with Crisps: Fit for Royal Consumption

A home cooked favourite, the tuna pasta bake is a dish that has lasted decades as a firm beloved meal. With the addition of cheese, vegetables and people’s own unique twists, there are no limits to what you can add to this food. After years of searching for the ultimate tuna bake recipe, we believe this one is so incredibly tasty that it’s fit for a King! Of course it wouldn’t be the ultimate dish without sprinkling some of The King’s Deli crisps in there too!

Ingredients (4 servings):


Splash olive oil

300g penne pasta

50g butter

1 yellow onion, chopped

1 tbsp tomato puree

500g cherry tomatoes, chopped

1 red pepper, chopped

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp rosemary

splash Worcestershire sauce

2 garlic cloves, minced

splash white wine vinegar

50g mascarpone cheese (ricotta can be used as a textured alternative)

130g Tin of tuna

250g of grated cheese (from mild to blue, your favourite cheese will do!)

1 x tin Sweetcorn

1 handful fresh basil, chopped

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan) mark 6. While the oven warms, boil your penne pasta until cooked, then drain and place to one side for later.
  2. In a separate frying pan, heat up butter. Once melted, add onion and garlic and cook on low heat until onion is softened. Add the cooked onion and garlic into the casserole dish
  3. Place fying pan back on low heat, using a splash of white wine vinegar to deglaze the pan. Add a splash of olive oil and turn heat up before adding the chopped tomatoes and pepper. Coat with paprika, sugar, rosemary and Worcestershire sauce and fry for several minutes before adding to the casserole dish
  4. Mix in the tomato puree and marscapone cheese, ensuring the latter has fully incorporated into the sauce. Now it’s time to mix in the penne pasta, tuna and sweetcorn.
  5. Crush your chosen crisps in their bag to a fine dust and mix with the grated cheese. sprinkling over the grated cheese and The King’s Deli crisps of your choice.
  6. Place in the oven and cook for around 30 minutes, until the cheese is mouth-wateringly golden! Top with fresh, chopped basil and serve alongside garlic bread (like you need telling).

  • Throw in chopped spinach into your pasta bake to make the dish healthy as possible – the kid’s wont notice since there’s so much flavour to savour!
  • If you’re looking to really treat yourself, then you can’t go wrong by adding more cheese! Consider adding mozzarella balls into the pasta mix to be rewarded with a heavenly taste and texture.

2. Thai Crispy Pork Balls – Elevated by our brand new flavour

These crispy balls do take a fair amount of time to prepare, but we challenge you to find something that could trump the beautifully fresh Thai flavours packed into a crispy yet juicy meatball. What’s the secret ingredient? Thai Crispy Pork Balls are transformed when you add in our brand new Thai Sriracha Chilli Crisps flavour – adding just the right combination of spice and mouth watering taste. They’re packed with so much flavour, they go perfect with steamed jasmine rice.

Ingredients (Serves 4):

Bread Slices (pick your favourite loaf)

1 tsp peanut oil
250g Pork Mince
50g Mushrooms, chopped
2 x red chillies, chopped
1 x egg
1 tsp dried coriander leaf
1 tsp cornflour
½ tsp salt
½ tsp MSG
¼ tsp pepper, ground,
1 tbsp light soy sauce
1tsp honey
1 tbsp rice vinegar (can be substituted with Apple Cider Vinegar)
1 tbsp lemongrass paste
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 dried kaffir lime leaves, crushed
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
1 tbsp Thai Red Curry Paste
1 tbsp Lime Juice

Thai Chili Crisps



  1. Preheat the oven to 120C/250F. Brush the bread slices with peanut oil and cut them into small cubes. Spread over a baking tray and place in the oven for 15 minutes until crisp and dry.
  2. Meanwhile, add a splash of peanut oil to a frying pan on medium heat, then add the Thai red curry paste, lemongrass paste, fish sauce and honey and heat until fragrant. Add a splash of rice vinegar to the pan to loosen its contents. Next add the mushrooms, chillies, garlic, lime juice, kaffir leaf and ginger to the pan for a couple of minutes until cooked through. Remove from heat and allow mixture to cool. 
  3. Mix together the pork mince, fried mushrooms, coriander leaf, cornflour egg, salt, MSG, pepper and soy sauce. Leave in a cool place for 20 minutes. 
  4. Remove the bread cubes from the oven and crush together with The King’s Deli crisps. With dampened hands, roll out the pork mixture into 12 balls.
  5. Roll each pork ball in turn over the toasted crisp and bread crumbs until completely coated. Place on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or until the coating is brown and the balls are cooked through. Allow to cool before serving.

3. Mac and Cheese Crunch

The most popular Italian dish that Italians have proudly never heard of! We both know that carbs and cheese taste even better when combined with crisps, and that’s exactly why we’re taking your comfort food to another level with this insane Mac and Cheese recipe. Whether you’re serving an individual dish or planning a family meal, our indulgent mac and cheese will leave everyone asking for seconds. Simple but tasty, this dish is perfect for busy weeknights that won’t keep you in the kitchen for long.


Ingredients (Serves 6):

350g Macaroni pasta

4 tablespoon Butter

43 g Plain / All Purpose Flour

Pinch Salt and freshly ground Pepper

450ml Full Fat Milk

100g Gruyere cheese

100g grated Cheddar cheese

100g grated Parmesan cheese

50g grated mozzarella

½ tsp Nutmeg or Mace (freshly grated or ground)

¼ tsp Paprika (ground)

½ tsp onion powder (ground)

½ tsp Dijon Mustard

1 dried Bay Leaf

75g white Bread

    1. Prepare ingredients before cooking in order to save yourself the stress of multitasking when making this recipe – 
        • Grate the Cheddar, Parmesan and Gruyere
        • Chop up the Mozzarella
        • Blend Bread into Breadcrumbs
        • Mix 1/3rd of Paremesan and Cheddar cheeses with all the breadcrumbs + add crushed The King’s Deli crisps
        • Mix the rest of the cheeses together


    2. Boil the macaroni until cooked, then drain – reserving a splash of the starchy pasta water.
    3. In a separate pan, mix the butter, flour, onion powder and nutmeg, and gradually stir in the milk, pasta water, bay leaf, dijon mustard and the prepared cheese mix and whisk to create a smooth, lump-free white sauce. Season to taste.
    4. Once the sauce is mixed well, remove the bay leaf before combining the sauce with the cooked macaroni and tip it into a large casserole dish.
    5. Sprinkle The King’s Deli cheese crisps and breadcrumb mix across the top – finishing off with a dusting of paprika before placing the casserole dish into the oven to be grilled for around 5 minutes. Wait until The Mac and Cheese looks golden and crispy!



4. Crispy Mash – From Side Dish To Centrepiece Champ

One of the Great British nation’s most popular plate fillers, we take our mash seriously here at The King’s Deli. We must concede that our Irish counterparts have one of the most irresistibly creamy recipes for mash, affectionately known as Champ. If you thought your mash potatoes were already up to scratch, just wait until you try our twist on this classic dish from the Emerald Isle – yet another beloved recipe that’s elevated by the addition of our award winning crisps! 

Ingredients (Serves 4):

1 Packet The King’s Deli Cheese Crisps

1kg Yukon Gold or Russet Potatoes

½ tsp salt

60ml Whole Milk

4 tbsp Mascarpone Cheese,

2 tbsp unsalted butter

150g Mature Cheddar Cheese, grated 

Handful Chives, chopped coarsely 

½ tsp Rosemary, dried

Salt & Pepper, to season


  1. Peel the potatoes and chop into 2cm cubes (we want even sized pieces so they all cook-through). Add the chopped potatoes to a large pan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, before reducing heat to low and simmer for 12 minutes. You’ll know they’re ready when your fork slides easily through.
  2. In a microwavable jug, add the milk, butter and garlic together and then warm in the microwave.
  3. Once the potatoes are ready, drain away the water and start mashing. It’s easier to mash the potatoes before adding butter / milk – let’s not give the lumps a chance to avoid getting mashed.
  4. Slowly add the mascarpone and garlic, milk mixture to the potatoes and mix until completely incorporated. Now add in the chives and rosemary, before seasoning to taste. 
  5. Transfer mixture to casserole dish, combine the crushed crisps with the grated cheese and sprinkle this mix generously over the top of the potatoes. Grill until golden brown on top – and it’s ready to serve!

Top Mash Potato Tips

  1. Start out with cold water when boiling the potatoes
  2. Mash the potatoes thoroughly before adding butter / milk / cream for a thicker, smoother finish
  3. Want More Flavour? Consider adding caramelised onions, sauteéd leeks 
  4. Get help hitting your five a day by swapping out some of the potatoes with sweet potatoes – challenge yourself to sneak in as many before the kids spot what you’re up to!
